A Futuristic Look Ahead…Video Games in the 21st Century

Today more people are playing games via the computer than ever before as it has now become another outlet for entertainment. The computer is not only used for business purposes anymore. Even though there are several popular games one can play on the computer or against others in other cities or states, there are still many folks who still prefer the pure video game console.

Playing video games at home are still quite popular among the people of all ages over the past 30 years. With the advancement of graphics and increased dpi on new flat screen televisions we buy, the images and color graphics pop even more to video game lovers.

Since the 1970’s when Atari came out with its original game console and had standard games using the joystick with one red button to hit. Some of those games were Space Invaders, Pac Man, Pitfall, Basketball, Berzerk, and Donkey Kong. We all can recall using the paddles for other games like Warlords, Tennis, and Breakout.

It should come as no surprise that children, teens and young adults spend over $10 billion a year within the United States on all kinds of video games. As we head into the second decade of the new millennium, the sky’s the limit for what new gaming consoles, video games and accessories will be produced!
