Im looking to buy a basketball hoop. I see many sizes for an example 44″ or 48″. are those the measurements of the height of the backboard or the width. Also, what kind should i get for a portable outdoor basketball hoop. thanks??

get an adjustable hoop with maesurements from 7 and a half feet to ten feet. then any person can adjust it. I got mine at “sports authority” The official nba height is 10 feet.
