NBA Live 09 Learning the Basics
Appears like the basketball court is really the first place where we get to settle our scores. And thanks to NBA Live 09, it’ll be your last place also. This is another one of those games where it takes more than trash talk to trash your competitor.
It’s been asserted about every sports game ever invented, and NBA Live 09 isn’t an exception : learn your team’s weaknesses and strengths. The other tip that can not be repeated enough : practice your shots. In a game like NBA Live 09, where the action is relentless, you want to be in control of the controls. Get comfortable with the shooting system in order to master your shots. As an example, you’ve got to know exactly how and when to time your shots. If you do not release the ball at the highest point of your jump, you will most likely miss ; an early or late release will kill you every time. So learn and master the shot technique – then when you hit the court, you will show the major players a bit.

The old pick and roll also makes an appearance in NBA Live 09 – and it’s actually straightforward enough to do. Once you’re one on one with your contestant, simply flick the right stick to the left or to the right ( depending on which direction you need your player to spin towards the basket ). It’s a dangerous move, but you know what they are saying about risks and rewards. Besides, when it works, it’s worth it – you get past your man, you will score every time.
As you can see, learning and mastering the basics is the key to coming out on top. And you know the hoary old cliche about practice… And yet it is true. Besides, sometimes all that it takes is the light tap of a button to split the winners from the LOSERS!

I just got the game and the ps3 has to download some stuff. It gets to 66% with the download then stops! Any suggestions?
