Is there any way to make a portable basketball hoop into one that you can put into the ground?

we bought one of those portable ones and well bad news…we go to put it back up the next year and the base cracks at one of those little poles on the side holding up the main pole making it the whole thing fall over. so i was wondering if there was a way to put it in the ground or would we have to buy a whole new basketball hoop ?

Save yourself the money. Don’t go buy another hoop. All you need is the main pole. Lose the smaller ones if you can. Then dig a deep enough hole (at least 2 feet), insert the pole, and pour concrete into the hole. Let dry for at least a day, then resuming hooping.
