Should We Fill Water Or Sand In Our Basketball System Base?

Yesterday we bought a Lifetime Basketball System and want to know if to put sand or water in the base .

If you live where there is the potential that it will freeze, fill the base with at least 2 gallons of the pink anti-freeze that is used in fresh water systems in RVs. Then top it off with water.

Eventually you will want to get rid of it – trust me. Getting the sand out will difficult.

The pink anti-freeze won’t do any damage when you drain it out. Nothing will evaporate out.
